Tox Spotting

tox06.jpg

Poor Tox just can’t help himself. New ‘work’ by the serial wall-spammer, in his regenerated Tox06 guise, has been sighted in Brixton and on the sidings outside St Pancras station.

To recap, Tox is the capital’s most infamous tagger. During his nocturnal adventures, he’s sprayed hundreds of walls, signal boxes and trains over much of London’s rail network. Despite arrest in 2004, the spraying spree continued throughout last year, and the Tox05 mark is just as common as the earlier vintages.

The young ragamuffin is so buried in ASBOs that he’s barely entitled to leave his bedroom without risking arrest. But still he persists, and his notoriety has only increased. The Tox04 tag could be seen framed in the window of a mangled July 7 carriage, and he’s gone and gotten himself a Wikipedia entry.

Our post last year about his Tox05 re-emergence received a near-unprecedented number of comments. Here are some of the highlights:

yes yes toxy boy im inpressed i c ur tox up at dagenham dock and at upminister district line as 4 all u grasses out der suk ur mum and ur dad

Erm, thanks, but we might pass on that one…

TOX MAN U GIVE ME JOKES WEN I SEE A DISTRICT LINE GO PAST AND THERES A TOX 02 ONIT UR ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL

And our favourite:

fffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll yyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu fffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiii nnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggg rrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss oooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttttt dddddddddddddeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttt

For the new year, Tox has decided to expand his oeuvre, broadening the palette to include multicolour tags and king-size ‘Toxic’ logos (see pictures). But once again we want your help. If you sight a Tox06, let us know. It’s a bit like Bill Oddie’s Spring Watch, only with more spray paint and less beard.

Update: Tox07

Tox has been tagging alongside Cosa in Nottingham recently - You can find it beside the tracks just down from Nottingham trian station.

Yo listen. Fair play to TOX, yeah i'm not a massive fan of tagging but Tox gets up all over the place despite being 'buried in asbos', that's more than most graff writers ever do certainly more than me. Tox has the 'little and alot' so cornered not just in london.
Who cares if he paints council run trains. 'It costs X amount of money to clean up blah blah blah' why dont the government stop pumping money into an illegal war and use some of that to stop graffiti. Or better yet, let writers express themselves, get up, whatever and spend then stupid amount of money on health care.
I love the way tox could get fined, jailed, whatever when caught, yet some kid might get stabbed in the street and the culprits walk away free. Yeah, we REALLY got our priorities straight in this country.
I'm done.

Tox along with Save an Nuts has been tagging in Paris with Trane and some of the other UV TPK guys recently. Seen their tags all over.

Tox 06 at junction between new cross gate and new cross. dangerous place!

His latest work doesn't involve putting paint or ink on anything - it's removing it! I saw "TOX06" on a Northern Line train, where paint remover had been used to spell it out in bare metal.

yea just go on the train from vauxhall to putney and you can see him everywhere there's a nice fat tox 06 at vauxhall

yeh bit late but in june/ july i was in london n saw a few tox06 tags on the way to the airport on the train.

Tox doesent care what you think. No one does.

Instead of chatting on the internet, take a leaf from him and go outside and paint.I think you will like it.

im cosa i write bumhole nowi got fuked by my best friend melt who used to write tox fuk british transport pigs from your oldist friend cosa yes im doing the juberlee line tonight from stanmor to stratford and i might pass thru neasden trainyard yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss dds all the way da disabled squad dds yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

big up tox, u can see one one of hes 'roll on's behind west ham station on the yellow abandoned factory and while ure there check the greenway wall of fame.

I saw Tox06 written on the back of a seat underneath one of those fold down tables on a Direct Train from Brighton to Reading... Although it wasn't very good and the fact it was tiny and hidden would have me believe it was some impersonator... (Also someone had tagged on the same chair "Blaze06" in the same pen.)

TOX tags are ugly and destructive. He's just a petty criminal wasting tax payer's money which would otherwise be spent on improving schools and hospitals. Arrogant, moronic and platitudinous.

TOX has quite a few images on the website: www.grafflondon.tk
Got his own page on there!

Why don't all you losers get off your arses and get jobs? Then you might get laid once in a while...

fuck tox he's not even good at graffin

big up tox still doing his thing the damage king love it keep it up rip ozone whys olds

TOX is one of the greatest graffiti artists i have ever seen. With the ratio of criminal damage agaisnt arrests he should be displayed in the tate modern. He has embarssed the BTP and met police with outwitting all thier cctv and secruity schemes. He is a young genious and is insperation to all artists. If tox is finished dont worry there will be many others, they stopped Zonk but Joak was right there behind him. Enzo did a runner but it didnt stop the fresh taggers.Tox is a urban icon starting new graffiti fads such as dating your tags and using paint rollers. His one of the few taggers from the old days. There is no stopping graffiti, every spot Tox hasnt been able to do it will be replaced by another graffiti artist. Freeeee feltam artists, u will never understand graffiti. O well with non conformists there will always be oppressors.

OH MY FUKING DAYS BRAV U R JUST LIKE A FKING LEDGEND ON THE WAY TO VAUXHALL I SAW 121 TOX'ES OR TOICKS LOL BRAV U A LEDGEND N I WAS WONDERING WHERE U BUY YOUR SPRAYING MATERIALS FROM RUDEBOI ANY IM OUT 1 HOLD IT N KEEP SMASHING THEM LINES INIT

i ain't seen a tox 07 yet what has happened to him the last i saw was tox 06. he does do a lot of the district line and a few months ago two graffers were killed on the railway line in upminster which is on the district line. Was one of those guys him???????????

Tox-07 tags are now on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link junction just outside of St. Pancras railway station.

Anyone who thinks "tagging" is art - hope you get electrocuted!

I think Tox 06 should join up with the NICE people.

Tox 07 in oakwood near station!

seen tox07 and toxic dub down river rom (romford) big up tucker04!!!!
