Londonstation.com

We have often wondered what the solution would be but the best answer we ever arrived at to spruce the place up a bit was to invest more money on the trains and stations. I know. Who in their right mind would do such a thing? I mean if the carriage that spins us around the circle line was good enough for Clement Attlee then who are we to complain?
But now one creative soul has found a completely new way of looking at the Underground. Go have a look at Londonstation.com and you'll find a gallery of beautiful black and white photographs that have been coloured in using Photoshop.
It makes for a rather pleasing effect. See, for example, Arnos Grove Southgate above, and Elephant Castle, below.

The icing on the cake is that the chap behind the site has put out a call for your stories to accompany the website (and possibly a book).
So think back to that time you got into an argument with Tom Baker on the Northern Line (for example) and drop him a line.
We found Londonstation.com via Metafilter, which is where all the cool interweb kids hang out.

That's not "Arnose Grove" at the top!
Even if you meant "Arnos Grove", actually, that's (a tarted with) Southgate.
Any fule know that Arnos Grove ain't got escalators. It's stairs all the way.
Tch.

James - correction made. In our defence the photo was incorrectly labelled.
