Drunken And Violent Smurf Arrested

smurfbeer.jpg

Giant smurf arrested after 'un-smurf-like' behaviour may well be our favourite headline of 2006 so far.

Apparently the 'smurf' (actually a man in costume and blue face paint) was watching the Army and Navy match at Twickenham on Saturday when he got into an argument with a friend.

When a nearby woman tried to calm the smurf down by putting her arm round him and saying "Don't be like that" the smurf turned nasty and threatened to hit her.

The woman reported the smurf to a steward and he was subsequently 'tracked down' (not the most difficult of jobs we'd imagine) and issued a £80 fixed penalty notice for using threatening words and behaviour.

The smurf later admitted that he had been "drinking heavily throughout the day".

If you're a smurf and you've been affected by any of the issues raised in this post then you should contact the smurf helpline on 0800 PISSED-SMURF.
