The Weekend Is Coming!

miffy.jpg

The weekend is so close. In a matter of hours you will be putting down your ploughs, sickles and pick axes, washing the mud off your wellies, putting on a fancy scarf or a cravat and going to do something fun. "But what can we do?" we hear you cry. "Shall we watch Finding Nemo on DVD again?". No, definitely not. No no no. Why not check out one of these events?

Are you Dutch? Didn't think so. It doesn't matter though, on Saturday you can still enjoy Dutch Queen's day!

On the famous South Bank in Central London the Holland House Event will provide a host of exciting activities and entertainment for you to enjoy from 11am till 10pm.

For the kids there will be "clog painting, face painting, fun and games and a life-size miffy, the cartoon bunny, will be meeting and greeting the kids and giving away miffy gifts."

Those who have not encountered Miffy before, she is the white rabbit in the picture with a cat's anus for a mouth.

Also, it's not just kids stuff,

Plus, when you visit the KLM stand, you can get your own personalised luggage tag absolutely FREE.

If the FREE personalised luggage tag hasn't sorted out Saturday for you, there is another event that tickled our fancy, Eat London,

Join us on Saturday 28th April when a vast edible map of central London will be displayed in Trafalgar Square - and then members of the public will eat it!

Enough said.

Finally, to warm up for a day of clog dancing and London eating, tomorrow evening the V and A hosts Friday Late Ritual,

Join us for an evening of international music and visual culture exploring the depth and breadth of the African Diaspora rituals and traditions. Celebrate sacred and secret rituals from around the world through music.

DJs, Jazz Blues, Drumming, Capoeira, Voodoo, Films, Rastafarianism and best of all, it's as free as a KLM personalized luggage tag.
