Got an imaginative idea for improving London?

New London Architecture has announced a new competition encouraging us to 'Reimagine London'. They're seeking ideas to improve the capital, "however ambitious, blue sky and no holds-barred".

A panel of judges will draw up a shortlist of entrants, which will then be displayed at The London Centre in September. The very best ideas will be eligible for a share of a £10,000 prize pot. Renaming the city as "Londony McLondonFace" is unlikely to make the cut.

"Remove Heathrow's need for a third runway by piggy-backing planes for takeoff" is another of our massively practical ideas for a happier London.

The competition is open to anyone — either professional groups or "London enthusiasts". All you have to do is essay your idea in a one-page summary, a poster, or a video pitch.

According to NLA:

Members of the public will be able to vote online (and in person) for their favourite shortlisted idea, from which a People's Choice prize will be awarded. In September the international jury will meet to decide remaining prizes including a Young Londoners Prize for an idea developed by or with under 25s.

So, whether you envisage installing a chocolate river on Primrose Hill, appointing a Mayor for each tube station, or getting the Museum of London to turn Smithfield's old Poultry Market into a giant London-themed playground to address the total lack of play equipment elsewhere in the Square Mile (we've thought about this one), then submit your plans here.
