Kindly, these booze-savvy Fancyapinters have decided to share their latest picks with Londonist and all our readers. Cheers! Here’s the current list from Fancyapint? in no particular order of merit. As if wine, whiskey, beer, absinthe and rum weren’t enough, Vinopolis even has a space dedicated to gin. Bombay Sapphire gin to be exact. It’s a nice roomy and white space with turquoise highlights. Kinda like walking into and through a bottle of Bombay Sapphire (without getting wet and sticky). Vinopolis reckons the Bombay Sapphire Experience’s purpose is twofold: one, give groups of up to thirty guests a chance “to enhance their cocktail making......

All this month, kitsch Belgian restaurant Belgo is offering an Oktoberfeast menu to celebrate … erm … feasting … in … erm … October. Good ole Belgian favourites such as moules blanches (mussels cooked in brugs witbier with bacon lardons) and carbonnade flamande (braised beef cooked in faro beer, nutmeg and brown sugar) are among the substantial menu fillers available. And (get this) there’s beer too. YAY! Beer. Those Belgians do beer so well.......

Think good and evil, naughty and nice, righteous and disgusting. We know you can. This is carte blanche to go out looking horrific and, even though it's a charity fundraiser at just £10......

Combining Kahlua, Finnlandia Vodka, espresso and milk......

Oh Sherry, there’s no reason to be all alone anymore! “Culinary alchemist” Heston Blumenthal (of Fat Duck fame), with scientist Professor Don Mottram of Reading University, has discovered a group of compounds known as diketopiperazines (try saying that drunk without offending someone) in Sherry. Apparently, these diketopiperazines are thought to accentuate the taste and flavour of “umami-rich” foods. In case you haven’t caught the blurps, umami is a newly discovered fifth tasting sense beyond......

Come down to Freud's basement bar on Shaftesbury Avenue to admire Chutney Bannister's "Surreal Line" photography exhibition on the walls and indulge in an excessive number of cocktails for a Monday night. Our Flickrpool friend will be going by the name Yusuf Ozkizil for the occasion, Time Out star that he is, these days. We'll be there, propping up the bar and pointing out the ones that have taken pride of place on these......

Notting Hill's “temple to good booze and fine living,” Trailer Happiness was a few steps ahead of the London cocktail craze when they opened in back in ’03. It’s still a good spot to keep in mind for mixed drinks in a casual setting. Trailer H bartenders know their rum ... and how to mix it. Londonist sincerely appreciates that.......

At the opening of Beer Exposed last night we earnestly hoped to have our palates wowed and our beer knowledge enhanced. The expo has the strapline "explore, educate, enlighten" but we can reliably report that what's actually going on is a whole bunch of people getting delightfully drunk on many different types of beer and only realising it when they start giggling at a man dressed in a Chinese jacket with the nametag "Angus".......

Last night found Londonist sampling canapés and cocktails at an outdoor medieval setting deep in the City of London. Hosted by the makers of Tanqueray gin and toptable.co.uk,” the first of two Tanqueray Tables events in London (there was an initial Tanqueray Tables night in Edinburgh last week) offered an excellent opportunity to check out the historic Merchant Taylors’ Hall. Dating from the 14th century, the hall is one of the Twelve Great City......
