So you're driving along, say, and you hear a strange hissing noise from underneath the seat. Do you (a) pull over and investigate the cause, or (b) slither to the conclusion that a sneaky snake has ensnared itself in your vehicle? Embarrassed of Twickenham opted for (b). She quickly hailed down a passing AA patrol car, the driver of which was able to locate the culprit: a can of de-icer that had lost its......

While most will undoubtedly be snuggling up on the sofa, warmed chocolate cupped in one palm, tv remote in the other, the residents of East Barnet will be endeavouring upon a very different xmas eve: as was the tradition back in 1932, those with a ghoulish disposition will be flocking to Church Hill Road, near Oak Hill Park, in the hope to catch a glimpse of the former Sir Geoffrey de Mandeville, a headless......

The weekend is so close. In a matter of hours you will be putting down your ploughs, sickles and pick axes, washing the mud off your wellies, putting on a fancy scarf or a cravat and going to do something fun. "But what can we do?" we hear you cry. "Shall we watch Finding Nemo on DVD again?". No, definitely not. No no no. Why not check out one of these events? Are you......

Before we begin, we'd like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of James Kim. Londonist wants you to know where to......

We're making something of a habit of this today, posting photographs of criminals that is. Fortunately, we know how to find this one - all you have to do is wait silently in the dark of night and listen out for his idiosyncratic sound, that of a car careering into something stationary. Unfortunately however, it doesn't look like this one is ever going to be locked up (and why would he be, his 'rehabilitation'......

This afternoon, Londonist has very much enjoyed pouring over the lurid details of the fun and games that took place at Heathrow Airport yesterday. Calvin Broadus, Snoop Dogg to we and you, has now been released "on police bail" and is free to travel on to South Africa, where he'll be performing in Johannesburg on Thursday as part of the country's Freedom Day celebrations (presumably the organisers are not after a family-friendly show, given......

Alas, Londonist never got to visit the biscuit city deep in the bowels of Selfridges. Nor did we witness the desperate scramble and crumb-laden aftermath as the edible artwork was scoffed yesterday. It all sounds rather bonkers. Once the first building was toppled, there was no stopping the ravenous audience. Within a few minutes the edible high-rise business district had gone the way of the shortbread and wafer Forbidden City. And the following quote......
