As we warned earlier in the week, today is another bus strike Friday. This time it's Metroline and First drivers affecting 160 bus routes mainly across north-east and west London. For a full list of routes affected visit TFL's website. They're striking over pay again, seeking an across the board £30k for all bus drivers. If they get it, we're thinking of retraining. Theatreland may soon be curtain up on Sundays if the current Equity consultation on a new pay deal for performers and management is agreed this week. West End performers not afforded billboard shots and leading roles are notoriously low paid for their demanding 6 day, 8 performance week workload. Up to 9000 members of the Public and Commercial Services Union, including security staff at the Houses of Parliament, Police Community Support Officers, Traffic Wardens, 999 Operators and admin support staff will be striking - most pointedly - on Budget Day, 12 March, to protest against a below inflation pay offer.
