Ah, the glamorous life of the street entertainer. These fine fellows were photographed yesterday in Jubilee Gardens, near the London Eye. Feel the giddy abandon and joie de vivre of South Bank performers at the very top of their game. Whoever can think of the best caption wins some chocolate coated nuts and an annoying bird-whistle-flute-type thing*. *Not really.......

Hard on the heels of the Photo of the Day, we thought we should mention the fact that there's currently some serious talk going on about establishing a real-life, honest-to-goodness, proper, physical, three dimensional, 'when I was your age all this was fields', Flickr gallery in London. Here's the general idea: Convince Flickr / Yahoo! to rent out a gallery space somewhere in London (nowhere flashy - maybe a community centre or a college).......

It's good to see a healthy young dead man really enjoying his food. This cheerful coach was spotted making its hot pink statement outside the British Museum this Easter Weekend. We don't know if it refers to the driver, the content of the bus or the quality of the journey it offers. We don't know if it is a message to the general public conveying what this particular coach company thinks of the people passing by or stuck in traffic next to it. All we do know......

A friend of a friend pointed us in the direction of this set of photos. Not very Londoncentric, in fact just some friends doing what we all do when we first get our hands on a new Macbook with its fancy little camera and software. So why a Photo of the Day? Well, the interesting thing about these photos is that they were automatically sent to Flickr sometime after the Macbook in question had......

We've been letting our Photo of the Day slot slip a little, but here's something to pull it right back into place. Not just a photo, but a whole set of them. cakehole got to see a bit of London that few of us ever do and managed to get some stunning shots: Royal Mail's private railway that used to carry mail from Whitechapel to Paddington. We know exactly where this is, having coincidentally walked past the same spot last weekend. The fallen silos can be found on the Thames path along the western side of the Greenwich Peninsula.
