We launched our Extinct Entertainments series with an introduction to the defunct theatrical form that is hippodrama. As if the gods are coming out as keen Londonist readers, lo and behold, there is a new hippodrama planned for the 02 centre next year - Ben Hur! It's got horses! Religion! No Charlton Heston! To mark the 50th anniversary of the film, a special live show is scheduled for the 02 centre in September 2009.......
