It’s almost Christmas! Over the Christmas holidays, we’ll be here every day recommending the best of what’s on television. We’ll do the hard work, slogging through the TV listings, and let you sit back with a nice hot drink and a mince pie. Enjoy! On TV, Londonist likes: Strictly Come Dancing (BBC1, 17:50-19:15 and 21:25-22:10) While we haven’t been keeping up with the excitement of this year’s dancing fun, we know lots of you......

After a quick break travelling the US, this Londonista is back to normality bringing the weekly roundup of whats happening in London. Monday night sees Oakland metal stars High on Fire grace UL. When we saw that Gothamist had a post up yesterday on a Wikipedia page listing all the songs about New York, we were initially filled with uncontrollable jealousy. Then we calmed down a bit and had a hunt round Wikipedia ourselves...and what do you know! Here's the exact same page but for songs about London. To paraphrase Homer Simpson: Mmmm, massive lists. It's a pretty extensive list but here's a few random ones that......

Coldplay tickets, buy or sell Coldplay tickets... Yes, that's what they'll be shouting outside Earls Court between 14th and 16th November as the monarchs of melody roll back into town, with his royal Verveness, Richard Ashcroft in support. Tickets go on sale Friday, you should know the drill by now. Chances are there won't be many left by lunch time. And whilst you're all rushing out to bring down London's phone lines here are......
