Be careful who you bump into: uninsured drivers are on the rise in London. A new memorial plaque honouring service men and women has been unveiled by Princess Anne in Westminster Abbey. That third runway is starting to look doubtful. Fried chicken: is it the greatest evil facing children today? Discuss. Well that’s what a London conference is doing this week. Overseas students want to be near London. We can understand that. A depressed Croydon MP moonlighted whilst on sick leave from the Commons. He’s not planning to stand again. Four Greenpeace protestors mounted a freshly landed Boeing 777 on the tarmac at Heathrow this morning to protest against a 3rd runway and it's implications for the "climate emergency". BAA are calling the protest "unlawful and irresponsible" which it probably is but, more pressingly, how the hell did 4 volunteers with a flourescent banner manage to walk from Terminal One, across the tarmac to the plane and clamber on top of it without hundreds......
